Live Your Moxie Health & Wellness Coaching

What if your pain isn't about being 'broken'...but a nervous system that is stuck on high alert?

If you're living with chronic pain, it's not just about the pain.

It's how the pain steals your life.

  • You wake up - already tired.

  • Your shoulders are up by your ears before breakfast.

  • Your muscles clench without even realizing it.

And it’s not like you haven’t tried to feel better...

Doctors. Labs. PT. Chiro. Massage. Yoga. Therapy galore.

You've tried too many to count.

But the relief is only temporary - and you're still stuck.

And now you're not just in pain...you're on edge.

You plan life around your body. You feel like it could betray you at any moment.

And you don't have time for that.

Not with kids. Work. Aging parents. A life you're trying to show up for.

Here's shy nothing's working (hint: it isn't your fault!)...

Our muscles can get stuck in survival mode

Whether it’s due to chronic stress, trauma (physical or emotional), or old injuries that should’ve long since healed.

Your system is trying to protect you from threats that might not even be there anymore.

That can look like:

  • Tight, achy muscles in your neck and shoulders

  • Clenching jaw or fists or core (as if you’re constantly bracing for an attack)

  • Pain and tension in your lower back or hips

  • Headaches or migraines

  • Pain that moves around or flares with stress or exercise

  • Feeling exhausted and weighed down (because pain is exhausting!)

To escape it?

You need to teach your body that it’s safe to let go.

And sometimes, no amount of talk-therapy, positive thinking, or pushing through can do the trick.

Your body needs to feel safety on a deep, visceral level.

That’s why you need to tackle your pain at the root cause: nervous system dysregulation.

That's when you're able to exercise again (without pain or injury!)

So you can run, dance, and play — without fear.

You learn to be aware of your body and how to move without triggering a flare.

You build confidence, knowing you can live a full, active life.

And you start to feel like yourself again!

How we became passionate about your pain

Hi! I'm Laurie Martinchuk, founder of Live Your Moxie. After 10 years as an Occupational Therapist, I realized that typical, insurance-approved methods were keeping me from treating my patients the way I knew would bring stronger, long-term relief.

I started Live Your Moxie, so I could stop stressing about using the right procedure and diagnosis codes - and treat the whole person with a range of the most effective healing modalities for them encompassing the mind, body and emotions.

Now, I work along with my husband and colleague Tim, using our training in MNRI, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Functional Nutrition, and Adaptive Movement Training, and more.

Every part is needed to support health through:

  • Safe movement that rebuilds strength and trust.

  • Breathwork that actually shifts your nervous system into safety.

  • Gentle body work that teaches your muscles to release.

  • And coaching that helps you notice pain patterns and how to shift them.

I’m here to help you rebuild trust with your body in a way that feels safe and doable. With steady, compassionate guidance — so you can feel strong, confident, and alive again.

You deserve to have the support your body needs. You don’t have to go it alone anymore.

What Clients Our Are Saying

“I wanted to be able to build muscle without pain, but chiropractic adjustments and massage didn’t work.

I had constant neck/shoulder tension, especially after lifting weights. Since working with Live Your Moxie, I now feel more aware of my body (especially my breathing) and improved confidence in lifting weights. Laurie is a wealth of knowledge. You don’t know what you don’t know, and Laurie opened my eyes to what I was missing on my health journey.”

– Krystal Short

“I wanted to be able to work out again after an injury and resulting chronic conditions.

I wanted to be able to run again, be spontaneous, and dance without physical pain or it causing a setback.

My PT had recommended a heart rate monitor and worked with me to find at what heart rate I started getting symptoms. I was supposed to get into a certain range without going above it. That knowledge was great, but I wanted to get past that barrier and not have an ‘upper limit’ or be held back by other factors (like if I jumped or jogged, getting a headache, concussion symptoms, and migraine)!

That’s when I turned to Live Your Moxie. I hesitated at first because of the cost (and probably also because I didn’t understand the value). If I’d known I could get better and reach my goals, I probably would have been more open to finding a way to pay for one-on-one work sooner.

I’ve already gotten good insights into how the movements and Live Your Moxie exercises can help with mental/emotional health (developing a sense of safety within my body) and what nutrition is ideal for my body and goals (such as switching the fat-to-protein ratio in my diet).

I love all the progress I’ve made and having a specific progression to follow! It’s great having a coach in my corner who genuinely cares about my success and is excited when I make progress!

Having access to Laurie’s wealth of knowledge when it comes to central nervous system and reflex integration and being able to ask her questions and understand where to focus/adapt for my specific body and recovery journey is so beneficial.

I’ve gone from not being able to do much more than walking to being able to participate in a group workout at a convention with hundreds of able-bodied people — running, pushups, jumping jacks — all kinds of things I couldn’t do months before! Even better, I went straight from that workout into a full, active weekend and was able to fully participate in all of the sessions and events with no problem.

It’s amazing to feel like myself again!”

“I reached out to Live Your Moxie because I was experiencing pain while working out, and just pushing through wasn’t working.

As a result, I am now more aware of my body and the muscles I need to activate to complete the exercises correctly, and that helps with pain.

The best part of working with Laurie was her compassion and encouragement. I really like that she wasn’t intense and provided support tailored to me, and gave modifications for exercises that previously caused pain or I couldn’t complete.

She always responded to questions in a timely manner and often sent videos to help me have a visual and understand better. Her knowledge of the body and nervous system is amazing and so helpful for anyone looking to minimize pain, get stronger, and become more in tune with their body!”

If you are reading this and thinking, "This sounds like me," here's what to do:

Send A Message and Tell Me:

  • Where your pain shows up.

  • What You have Already Tried.

  • What You Miss Doing The Most.

Then, we will set up a short conversation.

No Pressure. Just clarify about whether this approach matches what you need.

"But...the investment!"

I hear you. And if you’re already stretched thin, adding one more thing can feel like too much.

But here’s the truth: most people don’t join because they just magically have extra time and money.

They join because they’re done living with an upper limit. Done getting hurt, flaring up, and being held back by chronic pain that keeps coming back.

This isn’t a random class you squeeze in. It’s support that helps you exercise again after injury or illness, rebuild confidence, and stop the patterns that keep your body stuck.

Yes, it’s an investment.

But staying stuck in chronic pain costs you too—missed workouts, time away from work and family, and the constant mental drain.

So if you’ve got the drive to change, this is where it starts. You might be like Natalie…

“I was hesitant to take time away from work, but I’d already tried too many things to list, so I finally reached out to Live Your Moxie. I was dealing with old injuries from running and needed to restart an exercise program without pain or injury.

As a result, I have gained an awareness and reconnection to my body. Laurie listens with intent to make sure she understands the whole story. She created a collaborative and meaningful activity plan that leaves space for physical and emotional coaching. She is easy to talk with, she is insightful and encouraging, and she knows her stuff! I would 100% recommend Live Your Moxie!”
